Kyrie Irving Wants Out Of Brooklyn

Kyrie Irving has expressed his desire to the Brooklyn Nets organization to be traded prior to the upcoming NBA trade deadline.

Irving had initially asked to be moved by means of a sign-and-trade before the season began. Despite talks of a fresh contract, negotiations did not yield a satisfactory agreement and now Irving has officially requested to be traded.

The Nets were sitting at an impressive 31-20 record at the start of Friday and comfortably in the hunt for the Eastern Conference playoffs. However, their progress has slightly stalled recently, with seven losses in their last 11 games coinciding with the MCL injury to Kevin Durant.

This season, Irving, who is 30 years old, is averaging 27.1 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game. If no agreement is reached by the NBA trade deadline, he could leave the franchise as a free agent this summer.
