Back in January of 2022, adult film star Lana Rhoades launched an NFT project of her own called CryptoSis. The collected was to consist of 6,6069 NFTs that promised holder benefits like exclusive future drops, physical merchandise, and direct interactions with her and other “CryptoSis models” in the “metaverse.”

On her verified Instagram account, which has over 16 million followers, Rhoades constantly promoted her CryptoSis project promising her fans that the project would be a safe investment and that value would continue to grow for the community. CryptoSis was positioned as “a lucrative investment for holders” and that her main focus was to “increase the value” of her NFTs.

Just a week after launching the project and raising $1.5 million USD, Lana decided to walk away from the project while transferring the entire $1.5M raised from the CryptoSis wallet to her personal wallet.

Rhoades explanation on deciding to walk away from the project with investor funds was due to the negative and rude comments she had to read on the CryptoSis Discord and that she didn’t “want to look at comments.”

She should be investigated and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
