Celebrating The Life Of John Barman.

John Barman was the epitome of style, class and sophistication. He was a world-renowned interior designer who had an eye for detail, which reflected in the stunningly decorated homes and offices he lovingly crafted. Born and raised in New York City, Barman graduated from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania before going on to study Interior Design. Shortly after beginning his career at Estee Lauder Company in 1989, he launched his own interior design firm, John Barman, Inc. John most notably achieved his success by working with a broad range of private clients on projects that were featured in every major design publication including being recognized as one of Architectural Digest’s Top 100 Designers.

John was more than just a highly sought-after interior designer, He was a loving husband, mentor and friend. His elegant designs celebrated the light and life of the space, creating balanced, vibrant and enjoyable atmospheres.

On November 17th, 2022, John Barman sadly passed away peacefully in his sleep after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. He left an unrivaled mark, inspiring people to push for excellence, creativity and energy in the places they call home. Though John’s life was tragically cut short by pancreatic cancer, the legacy he left behind endures.

His designs forever bridge the time and space between him and those who knew him. He will be remembered as an inspiring individual whose extraordinary talents, kindness and generosity touched the lives of all he met.
