MYTHICAL MAGIC

One&Only Kéa Island’s locale is so beautiful that it drew envy from the Greek gods.

One&Only is betting big on the timeless allure of the Greek Isles with its forthcoming resort and residential community. A ferry ride or helicopter hop from the Attica peninsula, One&Only Kéa Island rests above Vroskopos Bay within the Cyclades Islands (classical mythology scholars will recognize them as the birthplace of Apollo).

Developer Dolphin Capital Partners must share the Greek god’s gift for prophecy. Along with introducing the One&Only brand to the country, it developed Aman’s Amanzoe in the Greek summer resort of Porto Heli, as well as Europe’s first Nikki Beach hotel and Aman and Ritz-Carlton resorts in the Dominican Republic and Panama, respectively.

One&Only Kéa Island promises to delivery everything associated with a sunny, seaside holiday. The dramatic natural setting lends itself to lazy days parked at picturesque coves and deserted beaches and scrambling up hillsides for majestic views. Culture hungry types can participate in hands-on programming, including family-friendly classes, and explore local vineyards and the ancient cities that dot the island. But it’s no secret that many stay at One&Only destinations for the coveted amenities alone.

The 60-hectare, beachfront enclave features 75 resort villas and a small number of private residences for sale. Its sensible layout mimics a Greek amphitheatre for maximum vantages. As to be expected in this neck of the woods, a glam beach club serves as the epicenter of daytime activity. Five dining and drinking options for regional delicacies like seafood plucked from the water that day also deliver the full Greek experience. The Olympic Games originated in Greece, so this property takes fitness seriously. In addition to hiking, diving and other sporty outings, a gym offers metropolis-level equipment and classes. One&Only’s signature, holistic spas are another draw.

The brand has been busy in the Balkans, too. One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro, its first European hotel, began accepting reservations May 1, 2021.
